This contract has been drawn up to protect the Blackpearl Kennel bloodlines and to prevent any future
disagreements between the parties referred to as Buyer and Seller.

Blackpearl WILL be the beginning prefix in the puppy/dog’s AKC registered Name.
This dog/puppy has had it shots, worming according to its age.
AKC puppy papers were given at time of pickup: Yes or Will be mailed!

• Puppy Buyer will have this puppy examined by their Veterinarian within 48 hours of receipt of
puppy. If the puppy does not pass the puppy Vet check it is to be returned to the breeder and
a full refund will be given.
• This dog/puppy is to be confined so that it is not loose to roam and dog/puppy will not be tied or
chained as a means of restraint.
• SOCIALIZATION AND OBEDIENCE TRAINING ARE OF SPECIAL IMPORTANCE.
• If for any reason you are unable to care for or keep this dog/puppy it’s to be returned to
Blackpearl Kennel at owner’s expense and loss. Never to be taken to the Pound/SPCA or just
passed to a new party. . •
Any Address or phone changes must be told to Blackpearl Kennel for AKC records.
• This dog/puppy left Blackpearl Kennel in good health. After this dog/puppy has left
Blackpearl Kennel we are neither responsible for the dog/puppy’s health nor actions other
than what is warranted.
• This breeder warrants that the dog will have normal hips (Excellent, Good or Fair) as
evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Or the breeder will refund $100.00
within 30 days of written notice. The dog must be x-rayed between 24 and 26 months of age
for this to be in affect.
• In the event said dog is suspected to a hereditary crippling joint disease. Presentation of
medically supported evidence, verified by TWO qualified Veterinarians (one of which to be the
breeders Veterinarian) stating that the dog is physically deficient and not functional for its
intended purpose. Reports must be giving to the breeder (Blackpearl Kennel). If said dog is
suspected to have HEREDITARY dysplasia, radiographs must be submitted to the Orthopedic
Foundation for Animals (OFA) and evaluated. The breeder retains the option to have the dog
re-x-rayed and reevaluated at the cost of the breeder prior to fulfillment of this warranty.
Under these circumstances and that the dog cannot be a functional pet due to lameness form
hereditary crippling joint disease, for a period not to exceed 26 months from the birth of this
dog; the breeder will replace the dog with a puppy within a reasonable amount of time
(Original animal must be returned to the breeder prior to replacing dog). If no puppy will be
available a refund will be given.
• The breeder warrants the dog to be free of hereditary Progressive retinal Atrophy (PRA).
• There is NO guarantee as to this dog’s ability to “finish” its AKC/CKC championship.
All Blackpearl puppies are sold as Limited Registration and not to breed. It may be lifted ONLY when the
following is DONE and at the breeder’s approval of the dog to be in the Blackpearl kennel breeding
program. There is a fee for paper work changes. Buyer agrees that this dog will not be bred UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCE UNLESS the following is done and all information is giving to the breeder for approval:
A) This dog is at least two years old and NEVER BREED.
B) The dog has had an annual CERF.
C) Hip/Elbows are OFAed fair or better.
D) A copy of the OFA hip clearance and CERF eye clearance is sent to the breeder
(Blackpearl Kennel).
E) The buyer has researched the dog in which the above described dog is to breed or be bred to,
in order to improve and preserve the Labrador Retriever or English Springer Spaniel. The to
be Stud dog must be of same quality or better and have all it’s health clearances before
approval by Blackpearl Kennel for breeding.
F) The dog has acquired at least one or more of the following:
1) for Labradors AKC or CKC points and for English Springer Spaniel AKC points or CKC
Champion.
This warranty will be void if any part of this contract is breached. It only applies to the below named
purchaser who is also the original recipient of this dog.
UPON THE SIGNING OF THIS CONTRACT BOTH BUYERS AND SELLER HAVE READ, AGREED AND FULLY
UNDERSTOOD THE TERMS OF THIS CONTRACT.
